Overview

Managing Safely for Wind Power is the only tailored course accredited by Energy and Utilities Skills and IOSH for this innovative and dynamic sector. It was developed in conjunction with industry experts and delivered to over 750 delegates since January 2011. This programme tackles management and operational issues facing companies operating in the onshore and offshore wind power industry and is designed for site owner-operators, operations and maintenance contractors and contracting companies working in this emerging and high consequence sector.

Developed by regenerateTM, ARMSA's R&D brand, this course enables you and your staff to challenge perceptions of risk in this emerging sector through active learning. It also equips delegates with skills and techniques to manage and conduct their work safely and competently. As a consequence, companies and their people will be equipped to deal with problems and issues in a well informed and competent manner.

Feedback
"The importance of injecting HSE into the business management system to produce safe, effective and economic processes."  REG WindPower.

"Hazard and risk awareness - a key requirement for robust business management systems. It enables clear communications and dialogue with suppliers. Makes for transparent operations."  REG WindPower.

"Explained the risk and safety implications of the wind farm lifecycle in much greater detail." RWE Windpower.

"Provided useful tools and techniques for use once back in the working environment"  RWE Renewables.

"Better understanding of Health and Safety from a managerial perspective backed by practical but sector specific exercises in each module" -  Fred Olsen Renewables Ltd.

‘’The Managing Safely for Wind Power programme exceeded my expectations. I’ve completed the general ‘IOSH Managing Safely’ course previously and was extremely disappointed which led to me being uncertain about attending this one. However, I have genuinely enjoyed this course, found it engaging and would definitely recommend this programme to others working within the Wind Energy sector’’ - Asset Coordinator, Good Energy
